Join Zema Estate and 15 fellow Coonawarra wineries for Cabernet Decade[nce], a special tasting celebrating the remarkable ageing potential of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon.
For this unique event, we’ll be opening our 2016 Family Selection Cabernet Sauvignon and pouring it alongside our current released super-premium Saluti – Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Shiraz (28%) – offering a wonderful opportunity to experience two exceptional expressions of Zema Estate Cabernet side by side.
Across the tasting, guests will have the opportunity to explore aged Cabernet from 2016 and older alongside new releases from some of Coonawarra’s leading producers.
Following the tasting, the celebrations will continue at Ottelia with a degustation dinner, bringing together exceptional Coonawarra Cabernet, beautiful food and great company.
For lovers of Coonawarra Cabernet, this is a rare opportunity to taste the past and present side by side and celebrate the variety that has helped define our region.

Begin with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our family-run winery, where you’ll gain insight into the winemaking and viticulture philosophies that have shaped Zema Estate and its renowned Cabernet Sauvignon for 44 years.
Then, step into the estate’s nostalgic private museum and join owner Nick Zema for a guided tasting journey through time. Discover current releases alongside rare museum Cabernet treasures, showcasing the remarkable ageing potential, craftsmanship and provenance that have made Coonawarra Cabernet one of Australia’s most celebrated wine styles.
Accompanied by a light grazing platter, this intimate experience offers a unique opportunity to taste history, hear the stories behind the wines, and immerse yourself in the heritage and passion of a pioneering Coonawarra family.
