After a hugely successful debut, the Coonawarra Woof & Wine Walk is back for 2026 – and we’re raising the bar. Expect an even bigger, better experience along the trail, with more to see, sip, and enjoy with your dog by your side.
Pack the lead, grab your walking shoes and make a weekend of it in Coonawarra for the Woof & Wine Weekend.
This dog-friendly celebration brings together wine, wellness, food and fun across a full weekend of tail-wagging experiences. Explore Coonawarra’s wineries with your four-legged companion by your side, discover special pop-up activities, enjoy local food and wine, and meet fellow dog lovers along the way.
From relaxed cellar door experiences and dog-friendly treats to unique events like Downward Dog Pup Yoga at Rymill, Woof & Wine is designed for both humans and hounds to enjoy together.
Whether you’re visiting for the day or planning a weekend escape, Woof & Wine is the perfect excuse to slow down, stay awhile and experience the best of Coonawarra with your furry friend.

About the Event – Saturday 14 November
The Woof & Wine Walk is a relaxed, dog-friendly food and wine trail winding through some of Coonawarra’s most iconic wineries.
Explore six cellar doors at your own pace with your pup by your side. Each stop will feature something special – think live music, gourmet snacks, wine tastings, pup pedicures, dog treats, local market stalls, and more.
Whether you’re a local or looking for a weekend escape, this is the paw-fect way to experience Coonawarra.
Downward Dog Pup Yoga – Sunday 15 November
Stretch, sip and unwind with a relaxed yoga session set among the vines at Rymill Coonawarra. Suitable for all abilities, this one-hour gentle yoga class welcomes both humans and their furry companions for a fun and memorable Woof & Wine experience.
Your ticket includes:
- 1-hour yoga class
- Cheese & tomato croissant
- Glass of Rymill NV sparkling
- Tea & coffee
- Homemade dog treats for your pup
Yoga mats are provided for the first 14 participants. Additional guests are welcome to bring their own mat.
A perfect Sunday morning of wellness, wine and wagging tails – 9.30am-11am

At each winery, you’ll discover something fun and fur-friendly:
- DiGiorgio Family Wines – Start and finish your Woof & Wine adventure at DiGiorgio Family Wines. Collect your pup-pack (complete with wine glass, walking map, and goodies), then ease into the day with market stalls featuring dog treats, wines by the glass, and free tastings. Relax on the lush lawns as you map out your next stop on the trail. At 3:30pm, head back to DiGiorgio Family Wines for the grand finale – the Best Dressed and Dog & Owner Look-A-Like prize announcements. It’s paws-itively the perfect way to wrap up a day of tail-wagging fun!
- Zema Estate – Unleash your creativity with our Paw-sonalised Wine Labels experience! As part of the Woof & Wine Walk, we’re inviting you to design a custom, dog-inspired label for your very own bottle of Zema Estate wine. While you are creating your work of art, pick up a ready-to-go picnic pack, perfect for you and your pup. This includes a selection of cheese & crackers to pair with your wine and tasty dog treats so your furry friend can join in the indulgence.
- Ottelia Wines – It’s Yappy Hour in the Coonawarra Park, give your dogs (feet) and your dog (dog) a break. The Ottelia PUP-up bar is open for business slinging wine, sanGRRia, and pizza under the iconic peppercorn trees.
- Redman Wines – A fun, interactive Wine Dog Personality Quiz where you can find out which wine variety matches your dog’s unique character.
- Brand’s Laira – Bring your four-legged best friend along for a tail-wagging good time at Brand’s Laira! While you sip and swirl your way through our wine tasting, your pup can indulge in a Puppuccino or a cheeky Hot Dogolatte. Relax with a glass of wine, beer or cider in hand, and choose from a range of delicious food options. Don’t forget to snap a few paw-some pics and tag us using #brandslaira and #WoofWine.

Dress to impress! Whether it’s haute-dog couture or a quirky costume, enter your pup in the Best Dressed contest. We’ll have a special guest judge and a People’s Choice award, so bring your A-game. - Canine Mini-Me – Look-Alike Contest
Do you and your dog share more than just a close bond? If you’re starting to look like each other, this one’s for you! Enter our Canine Mini-Me Look-Alike Contest and you could fetch a prize for the best dog-human duo. - Best dog trick
Does your dog have a trick that never fails to impress? Whether it’s rolling over, shaking paws, spinning, catching treats, or showing off a unique talent, now’s their time to shine! Step up to the stage and wow the crowd with your clever canine. Our judges will be looking for confidence, creativity, and plenty of tail-wagging fun.

As pet policies can vary, we recommend contacting the accommodation provider directly before booking to confirm availability and any conditions for your dog’s stay. We also encourage booking early, as dog-friendly accommodation is limited and fills quickly for this popular event.

Bellwether’s luxury Bell Tents are located just a 7-minute drive from the event. Dogs are welcome on a lead, and guests can also enjoy the camp kitchen, spacious grounds and Bellwether’s beautiful winery setting.
Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park
Just a 15-minute drive from the Woof & Wine Walk, Coonawarra Bush Holiday Park offers a range of dog-friendly accommodation, including glamping tents, tiny homes, caravan sites and camping. .
Camawald Cottage & Studio
Choose from the two-bedroom Camawald Cottage, ideal for up to four guests, or the spacious Camawald Studio for couples. Guests enjoy a full breakfast provisions each morning, fully equipped kitchens, and a complimentary bottle of wine when staying three nights or more. A two-night minimum stay applies.
Penola Coonawarra Caravan Park
Just a 10-minute drive from the Woof & Wine Walk, the Caravan Park offers a variety of dog-friendly accommodation, including dedicated pet-friendly cabins, powered and unpowered caravan and camping sites. Penola Coonawarra Caravan Park offers spacious grounds and excellent facilities for a comfortable country stay.
CMCA RV Park Penola
Travelling by motorhome or caravan? The CMCA RV Park Penola is a pet-friendly option for fully self-contained RVs, located within easy walking distance of Penola’s town centre and just a short drive from the Woof & Wine Walk. Guests can enjoy spacious, level sites, a barbecue and happy hour shelter.

Free Tickets for carers of Companion Card Holders – This event is officially registered as a Companion Card Event, meaning Companion Card holders can have their carer attend free of charge.

Bio-security – Don’t spead Phylloxera
Coonawarra’s vineyards are world-renowned, and it’s vital we protect them from the threat of phylloxera, a destructive vineyard pest. To help us safeguard the region, we ask all participants to follow these important biosecurity guidelines:
- One dog per person – each dog must have a dedicated handler.
- All dogs must remain on-leash at all times.
- Stay on the designated walking trail – please do not enter vineyard rows or walk/drive into areas beyond the marked path.
- Phylloxera Foot Bath – use the provided foot bath stations if required before entering the trail.
The fine print
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions for the safety and enjoyment of all guests.
- To protect the vineyards from the threat of phylloxera, all guests must stay on designated paths and must not enter or allow their dogs to enter vineyard areas under any circumstances.
- All dogs must remain on-leash at all times, no exceptions.
- Each ticket is valid for one dog per human. No group dog-walking, please.
- Dogs must be desexed and vaccinated. Proof of vaccination may be requested at check-in.
- Aggressive, excessively noisy, or reactive dogs may be refused entry or asked to leave at the discretion of event staff.
- Owners are fully responsible for their dog’s behaviour at all times.
- Dogs and children must be supervised and accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or older at all times.
- Please respect other guests and dogs – give space where needed, especially at tasting stations and food areas.
- Entry is limited to dogs only. Sorry, no cats, birds, rabbits, or other animals.
- Owners must clean up after their dogs. Bins and dog waste bags will be provided along the trail.
- Outside food and beverages are not permitted at participating venues.
- By purchasing a ticket, you agree to be added to the email database of each participating winery. You may unsubscribe at any time.
- This is an all-weather event. Please dress appropriately and bring gear for your dog if necessary. In the event of severe weather, updates will be communicated via email and social media.
- Participation in the event is at your own risk. Organisers, staff, and venues are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons, pets, or property.
- Guests must follow instructions from event staff and venue personnel at all times. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
- Refunds will not be given for cancellations made within 7 days of the event.
- To cancel your ticket and request a refund (if eligible), please contact the event organisers via the official event email. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
- The organisers reserve the right to cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation by the organisers, all ticket holders will be offered a full refund.
